HOW CAN YOU HELP?

The JDI Foundation relies on involvement from positive individuals and companies, and there are a myriad of ways in which anyone can get involved.

Here are some ideas on typical group activity and how YOU could help:

“Big Change”

  • Paint a creche in Guguletu with some work colleagues on a team-building day

  • Donate soccer kits to a soccer club run by a former gang member ensuring kids stay out of gangs

  • Participate in the annual Cableway Charity Challenge and get sponsored to summit Table Mountain as many times as you can in one day

  • Volunteer to speak to matric students at school Careers Expos/ Life Orientation courses

  • Host a fundraiser ie a quiz night to raise funds for a local creche

“Small Change” with Big Impact

  • Contribute money to the specific JDI supported projects when they request assistance
  • Pack personalised Christmas boxes for specific children’s homes

  • Follow us on Facebook and support our events that run through the year

  • Donate items or experience vouchers towards JDI fundraisers and auctions

  • Spread much-needed feel-good positivity by sharing stories and photos of group activity on social media to inspire further change

  • Sponsor a Cableway Charity Challenge athlete, whether you know them or not

  • Think about setting up a JDI group of your own with friends or colleagues and begin pooling a small amount every month

Donate money directly to JDI using Snapscan, knowing that 100% contributions go direct to our beneficiaries

If you want to chat more, find out more, or pledge to help with one of the above, contact us and we will assist and facilitate!

GET INVOLVED

“We are a small group of friends that got together wanting to make a difference. We quickly found out that we needed help and that’s when we met JDI… they were fantastic from day one! They attended one of our first meetings and offered great advice and support (legal, fundraising, etc), anything we needed they were there to help us. It was also great stress off our backs to direct our funds through them. Thank you, JDI for all that you’ve done for us and we look forward to many more years of partnership”

Robyn, JDI 'Enkosi Kids' group
“To be in a position to give is such a blessing. The JDI platform and network makes it so easy to reach out to others and make a difference.”
Helena, JDI ‘Madisa’ group

“Gandhi said we should be the change you want to see in the world. He also said: “The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world’s problems.” I believe that my ability to run and do physical things can and should be used to help others. Having a disabled husband has made me realise how fortunate we are, and that every day we can be the difference.”
